GREAT WHITE Guitarist MICHAEL LARDIE Proposes To Girlfriend
January 10, 2012GREAT WHITE's Michael Lardie (guitar, keyboards) proposed to girlfriend Pamela Bennetts on Christmas.
"Pam and I just want to reach out to the fans and thank them for a phenomenal 2011," Lardie said. "We will get to planning our big day, but I know she will not want to miss a GREAT WHITE concert, so we will plan around our tour schedule."
Born in Alaska and raised in a military family, Lardie resides in Sacramento, California. His rock resume includes touring with NIGHT RANGER, as well as producing/engineering albums for GREAT WHITE and NIGHT RANGER. Bennetts currently lives in Detroit, Michigan.
GREAT WHITE emerged on the hard rock scene in 1978 and is best known for the 1989 smash "Once Bitten, Twice Shy".
The band's current touring lineup features original members Mark Kendall (guitar),Michael Lardie (guitar, keyboards) and Audie Desbrow (drums) alongside bassist Scott Snyder and lead vocalist Terry Ilous.
GREAT WHITE's estranged singer Jack Russell in December decided to continue as the band's lead vocalist without the current touring members. He has brought in former members of GREAT WHITE, as well as other musicians he has worked with previously, and in order to avoid any confusion, will be touring and performing under the name JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE.
